CURBSIDE COLLECTION GUIDELINES
The following guidelines are in place for the safety and well-being of collectors as well as residents:

Waste shall be in securely tied standard-sized bags measuring approximately 26 in. x 36 in. Grocery bags, kitchen catchers, and large yard waste bags are not acceptable.

Each bag shall not weigh more than 35 pounds.

Waste shall be at the curb by 8:00 am on collection day.

Broken glass, knives, syringes, sharp items, etc. shall be clearly marked and packaged in a puncture proof container. The marked container is to be placed at the curb in a manner that its easily identifiable as dangerous waste.

Bins are not mandatory but if used at the curb, they shall be clean, tidy, clear of any debris (including snow and ice) and safely accessible.

Containers of liquid, including paint, will not be collected. Empty or dried out paint cans shall be placed in a standard-sized bag as described above.

Hazardous waste will not be collected; these items can be taken to the landfill for disposal.

Electronic waste will not be collected; items such as televisions, computers and accessories, stereos, games, and components, etc. can be taken to the landfill for recycling.

Ashes will not be collected; these items can be placed in an approved, non-flammable container and taken to the landfill for disposal.

Grass, leaves, trees, yard clippings, etc. will not be collected; these items can be taken to the landfill for disposal.

Cardboard shall be either:

broken down and bundled to measure no more than 2 ft. x 2 ft. x 1 ft. or

broken down and placed in standard-sized bags and securely tied.

Non-compliance with guidelines may result in waste being refused.

In the event waste is not taken during curbside collection, please ensure you have followed the guidelines outlined above.
